STAFF REPORT
Buyers at WCI's Tower Residences at The Ritz-Carlton, Sarasota, will be able to order any Ritz-Carlton personal service 24 hours a day. It could be dinner in their apartment or the concierge's help in finding a secretary or a babysitter. The two-story grand entry has twin curving staircases to the amenity level. Besides its entertainment areas, theater, club rooms and athletic center, residents will have the use of The Ritz-Carlton spa and beach club planned to open next year. Pamela Hughes Design Associates, which did the hotel, will bring similar luxury finishes and architectural detailing to The Tower Residences. The raised second level will have an outdoor pool and spa. Landscaping and land planning is being done by the same Winter Park firm that did the landscape plan for the hotel. Smith Barnes Architecture Inc. designed the building to be compatible with The Ritz-Carlton, yet with distinct detailing. Twenty of the 80 residences are available from $1,615,000 to $3,140,000; a penthouse is priced at $4,350,000 for 5,252 square feet. Saunders expects them to be sold by the time the building is done in April. At the same time, Michael Saunders & Company's Ilene Lyle and her associates are selling downtown condominiums at Beau Ciel, the 17-story, 44-unit oval building going up beside Hyatt Sarasota, and the completed Renaissance of Sarasota. Beau Ciel is being developed by U.S. Assets Group. A 100,000-gallon lagoon pool and three-story waterfall has just been completed that connects with the Hyatt's own lagoon pool three levels below. Beau Ciel residents will be able to enjoy the $2 million amenity in privacy amidst lush foliage. WCI's single-family projects in the area are Waterlefe Golf & River Club in Manatee County and Venetian Golf & River Club, just getting started on the Myakka River east of Venice.
