THOMAS BROWN

Principal, U.S. Assets Group

Tom Brown founded U.S. Assets Group in Sarasota, Florida, in 1993. His initial goal was to create a boutique real estate development and management firm based on a visionary approach and enlightened practices. U.S. Assets Group has since become a market leader in providing world-class homes to a select market.

After earning his MBA from the University of Denver in 1970, Oklahoma-born Tom began a career in real estate management with multinational real estate firms, overseeing prestigious projects in Maryland and Florida. While serving as president of Markborough, Florida, Inc., he developed such highly regarded communities as Hunter's Green in Tampa, Florida, and the Boca Pointe Country Club, in Boca Raton, Florida. As a director of Taylor Woodrow Homes of Florida, he was responsible for record-setting real estate operations of The Meadows Country Club in Sarasota. As a principal with U.S. Assets Group, he has provided creative leadership resulting in the development of Windsor, Orchid Island, Beau Ciel, en Provence, Orchid Beach Club, and The Founders Club.

Projects under Toms stewardship have won national, regional and state recognition for excellence in marketing, environmental responsibility and overall quality. He is valued for his expertise in many areas including marketing, land development, home building, and golf country club and amenity planning. These skills have allowed him to deliver breathtaking communities embodying the underlying principles of U.S. Assets Group: Quality, Integrity, and Service.

A keen judge of talent, Tom invited Jay Tallman to join U.S. Assets Group as a principal in 1999. Under their combined direction, U.S. Assets Group has consistently elevated the bar for upscale real estate on Floridas Gulf Coast, with such outstanding communities as Beau Ciel, en Provence, Orchid Beach Club, and The Founders Club. Their successful partnership endures to this day.
